Monsha’at Concludes Participation in Slush Event in Finland to Support High-Potential Companies in International Expansion

The Small and Medium Enterprises General Authority “Monsha’at” has concluded its participation in “Slush” Helsinki, Finland, with a delegation comprising four Saudi high-potential unicorn companies ready for international expansion. The participation aimed to strengthen the presence of Saudi companies in global innovation ecosystems and connect Saudi entrepreneurs with investors and partners from around the world.

The Saudi delegation attended Slush activities held at Messukeskus on November 19–20, alongside participation in a side event organized by the Saudi digital economy ecosystem in collaboration with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology and the National Technology Development Program. The event showcased Saudi Arabia’s tech ecosystem and facilitated knowledge exchange with international counterparts.

Monsha’at also organized a specialized tour of Helsinki’s entrepreneurship ecosystem at Aalto University, which included visits to A-Grid—one of Finland’s largest startup communities—and Design Factory, highlighting Finland’s approach to linking universities with innovation, prototyping, and entrepreneurship development. The visit enabled entrepreneurs to explore global best practices and build direct connections with ecosystem leaders.

Monsha’at emphasized that participation in Slush extends its ongoing efforts to support the international expansion of Saudi companies, following its recent participation in Web Summit Lisbon. It noted that the presence of Saudi companies in global innovation platforms is a key step in enhancing competitiveness, attracting foreign investment, and accelerating growth in international markets.

The authority also organized joint business meetings with Business Finland to explore cooperation opportunities between Saudi and Finnish companies, identify expansion prospects in the European market, and build partnerships in technology and innovation sectors.

Such international engagements reflect Monsha’at’s commitment to enabling entrepreneurs to access global networks of investors and experts, supporting the growth and sustainability of Saudi startups in line with Saudi Vision 2030 objectives to strengthen the knowledge economy and enhance the global presence of national companies.
