The Small and Medium Enterprises General Authority “Monsha’at” today concluded its Lisbon visit program held alongside participation in the global Web Summit 2025, following five days of field visits, workshops, and specialized sessions attended by Saudi entrepreneurs from companies with strong potential for international expansion.
Through the program, Monsha’at aimed to support Saudi startups and strengthen their international expansion capabilities by opening new investment opportunities and connecting them with global investors.
The program included a series of visits to Portugal’s innovation ecosystem, covering leading technology companies, business accelerators, and specialized universities, in addition to meetings with entrepreneurs, investors, and international experts. Participants also benefited from legal, financial, and development-focused sessions covering growth strategies, investment rounds, and high-growth product management.
The final day of the program featured several activities, including a visit to BHOUT, a company specializing in fitness and gaming technologies, as well as a legal session delivered by Cuatrecasas on funding rounds and exit strategies. The program also included a workshop on product development, customer experience, and product team management.
Monsha’at emphasized that the program enabled promising Saudi companies to explore European best practices in innovation and establish direct relationships with international business ecosystems, enhancing their ability to enter new markets and strengthening the Kingdom’s presence at global entrepreneurship events.
The participation comes as part of Monsha’at’s ongoing efforts to empower Saudi entrepreneurs, enhance the competitiveness of SMEs, and create international collaboration opportunities that align with economic transformation goals and strengthen the Kingdom’s role in the global digital economy, in line with Saudi Vision 2030.
