Monsha’at Delegation Begins Lisbon Program During Web Summit 2025

The delegation of the Small and Medium Enterprises General Authority “Monsha’at” today launched its visit program to the Portuguese capital Lisbon as part of the activities accompanying Web Summit Lisbon 2025, with the participation of several Saudi entrepreneurs representing companies with strong potential for international expansion.

The program comes as part of Monsha’at’s efforts to strengthen the global presence of Saudi entrepreneurs by introducing them to European innovation ecosystems and enabling them to build international partnerships, in collaboration with Unicorn Factory Lisboa, the organizer of several events and field visits accompanying the summit.

The Saudi delegation began its first day with a visit to the Alvalade Innovation District and participated in a workshop titled World of AI, presented by Google, which explored the latest trends in artificial intelligence and its applications in startup development. The delegation also joined discussion sessions with founders and investors from Lisbon’s innovation ecosystem during the Networking Madness event, which aimed to exchange expertise and explore expansion opportunities in the European market.

The delegation later visited the Beato Innovation District, one of Europe’s largest innovation hubs, where participants explored the experiences of Portuguese companies that evolved into unicorn companies, in addition to attending specialized marketing and growth sessions focused on strategies for entering new markets.

Monsha’at emphasized that the visit represents a practical step within its programs aimed at enabling Saudi startups to expand internationally and build bridges with global innovation ecosystems, further strengthening the Kingdom’s position as a leading destination for supporting high-potential ventures.
