Monsha’at Disburses First Batch of Second Edition of Estrdad Initiative to Support Startups

The Small and Medium Enterprises General Authority “Monsha’at” announced the disbursement of the first payment batch under the second edition of Estrdad initiative for reimbursing paid government fees, benefiting more than 1,700 enterprises. The authority confirmed that additional payment batches will continue throughout the current year, alongside ongoing registration and reimbursement for eligible enterprises during the initiative period.

Monsha’at invited all SMEs that meet the requirements and conditions outlined on the Estrdad initiative page to benefit from the initiative, which aims to support startups during their first three years, stimulate the business environment, and enhance business sustainability and competitiveness. The initiative also seeks to help enterprises overcome operational challenges during their establishment phase through registration and eligibility verification via the following link: https://estrdad.monshaat.gov.sa/home

The initiative covers reimbursement for ten types of government fees and financial costs, including 80% reimbursement of expatriate worker fees, articles of incorporation publication fees, commercial registration fees, municipal licenses, Saudi Post and chamber of commerce subscriptions, trademark registration, economic activity licenses, and business conversion from sole establishments into companies. The initiative’s second edition also includes patent registration fees to support innovation and invention pathways among startups in the Kingdom.

More than 27,000 enterprises benefited from the first edition of the initiative, contributing to the creation of over 89,000 jobs, while achieving a business continuity rate of 75%, reflecting the initiative’s direct impact on job creation, economic growth, and diversification.

The initiative reflects the Kingdom’s ongoing commitment to strengthening the contribution of SMEs to building a diversified and prosperous national economy by fostering a supportive and sustainable entrepreneurial environment that highlights effective collaboration between the public and private sectors, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
