Monsha’at Launches Sports Week Across Four SMEs Support Centers to Empower SMEs in the Sports Sector

The Small and Medium Enterprises General Authority “Monsha’at” today launched the Sports Week, in collaboration with the Ministry of Sports, running until February 5, 2026, as part of its Business Weeks series. The initiative aims to enable SMEs and entrepreneurs to benefit from the opportunities available in the sports sector.
The launch comes amid the rapid growth of the sports sector in the Kingdom and the quality investment opportunities it offers for SMEs in areas such as investment, operations, and support services. This contributes to expanding business activities, increasing participation in sector-related initiatives, and supporting income diversification, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
The program is being implemented across four SMEs Support Centers in Riyadh, Al Madinah, Jeddah, and Al Khobar, enabling broad participation from entrepreneurs and SME owners across the Kingdom.
The first day of the event featured an opening panel discussion with His Excellency the Vice Minister of Sports, Bader bin Abdulrahman AlKadi, who emphasized that the sustainability of the sports sector depends on effective partnership with the private sector, noting that SMEs are a key pillar for the sector’s growth and sustainability.
He explained that the sports sector offers promising investment opportunities for entrepreneurs, including sports academies and clubs, reflecting the sector’s evolving investment landscape in the Kingdom.
He also highlighted that Saudi Arabia’s hosting of global sporting events creates high-value opportunities for SMEs, affirming that the Ministry of Sports, represented by the Investment Department, is working to empower the private sector and entrepreneurs in cooperation with Monsha’at and relevant entities to transform opportunities into sustainable projects.
The first day also included a series of specialized sessions and discussions addressing pathways to professionalization in sports entrepreneurship, investment opportunities in the sector, and mechanisms to empower SMEs. It also explored building an integrated investment ecosystem in cooperation with regulatory entities, in addition to SME support councils with participation from leaders of the Ministry of Sports and relevant stakeholders.
