Monsha’at and the Communications and Information Technology Commission Announce the Winners of the Third Internet of Things Challenge 2023

The third edition of the Internet of Things Challenge 2023, organized by the Small and Medium Enterprises General Authority "Monsha'at" and the Communications and Information Technology Commission, has announced the winners. These five teams were awarded a total prize value of one million Saudi riyals for presenting innovative solutions and ideas.

The main objective of the challenge was to encourage national talents to innovate and develop transformative solutions in promising sectors, particularly in IoT technologies. By supporting startups and facilitating their entry into the market, the challenge aims to ensure their success, sustainability, and technological advancement.

Out of over 1,250 registered participants, fifteen teams with innovative solutions were selected to participate in the challenge.

These teams received intensive mentoring sessions provided by 18 mentors and benifited from over 40 advisory sessions, provided by Thakaa Center and Empowerment Partners.  

The Thakaa Center, which is affiliated with Monsha’at, plays a crucial role in promoting innovation and development of IoT field fostering collaboration between government, private sectors, academia, and civil society entities, ultimately contributing to the progress and sustainability of IoT technologies.
