Monsha’at Announces the Launch of the EdTech Accelerator

The Small and Medium Enterprises General Authority “Monsha’at” launched the EdTech Accelerator, running over 12 weeks, in cooperation with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, the Ministry of Education, and Tatweer Educational Technologies Company.
The EdTech Accelerator is the first of its kind in the Kingdom, aiming to support entrepreneurs and focus on innovation and young talent to reach projects that help raise the standard of the education sector.
During this stage of the accelerator, the focus will be on developing and supporting the ideas of 12 projects that qualified from the training camp stage held last April.
The projects taking part in the accelerator can benefit from guidance sessions to direct participants and provide them with various forms of support and guidance, in addition to workshops, as well as financial grants for all projects with the aim of supporting them, turning their innovative ideas into projects on the ground, and ensuring sustainable educational development.
The launch of the EdTech Accelerator comes as part of Monsha’at’s keenness to encourage innovation, support entrepreneurship, and create startups with high potential for success and growth in the Saudi market, leading to an increase in the SME sector’s contribution to GDP from 20% to 35%.
