Monsha’at Launches Educational Facilities Investment Initiative

The Small and Medium Enterprises General Authority “Monsha’at” launched the Educational Facilities Investment Support Initiative in partnership with a number of online platforms specialized in renting facilities of all types across all regions of the Kingdom, through the signing of several memorandums of understanding with the platforms.
In its first three months, the initiative targets connecting no fewer than 100 educational facilities with the platforms and supporting around 200 rental transactions, with the aim of making better use of the educational facilities available inside private school buildings outside official working hours. This contributes to improving the business environment by automating the rental and management of educational facilities, and opens new market opportunities for private schools, raising the quality of educational facilities and their use across different fields. The private schools covered by the initiative include national and international schools, early childhood and kindergarten schools, and special education schools.
The initiative provides free services for listing and managing the rental of educational facilities through the partner platforms for a full year, supporting educational, cultural, and sports activities, strengthening the role of educational facilities in serving the community, and raising the return on investment in the educational assets of private schools.
The educational facilities in private schools include sports halls, computer labs, science labs, outdoor courtyards, theaters, libraries, classrooms, land, and unused spaces, for holding educational, cultural, sports, entertainment, and other activities.
The initiative comes in line with the decision issued by the Ministry of Education on the importance of enabling private education establishments to make use of their buildings outside official working hours and during holidays, encouraging them to offer training, enrichment, cultural, and sports programs to students, special education students, and the community at large.
