His Excellency the President of Al-Baha University, Doctor Abdullah bin Yahya Al-Hussain, and the Governor of the Small and Medium Enterprises General Authority “Monsha’at”, Sami Al Hussaini, today inaugurated the fabrication laboratory (FAB LAB) at the Incubators and Entrepreneurship Center in the administrative building on the university campus. The President of the University held a meeting with the Governor of Monsha’at, attended by the university’s vice presidents and several officials, during which they discussed ways to strengthen cooperation between the two sides and support the innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem in the region, reviewed the main initiatives and projects the university implements to serve its students and community, and presented the university’s efforts in innovation and entrepreneurship. The Governor of Monsha’at then toured the Incubators and Entrepreneurship Center, where he viewed a set of innovative projects and research posters presented by the university’s students and staff, and watched a video presentation highlighting the university’s efforts to support innovators and entrepreneurs. The President of Al-Baha University emphasized that the opening of the laboratory comes as part of the university’s efforts to build an environment that stimulates innovation and to expand its strategic partnerships with national entities, foremost among them Monsha’at, strengthening the university’s contribution to achieving the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030. For his part, Al Hussaini commended the role Al-Baha University plays in enabling young people. He noted that the opening of the FAB LAB is an important step toward providing a supportive environment for emerging entrepreneurial projects in the region. The Incubators and Entrepreneurship Center is a quality addition to the university, enabling male and female students to turn their ideas into prototypes using the latest technologies and tools, strengthening their capacity for innovation and development. The visit continues the cooperation between Al-Baha University and Monsha’at and supports the university’s efforts to build an innovative and entrepreneurial environment that keeps pace with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
