Monsha’at and Business Sweden Sign MoU on Entrepreneurship Education

The Small and Medium Enterprises General Authority “Monsha’at” signed a memorandum of understanding with the Swedish Trade and Invest Council (Business Sweden), on the sidelines of the Biban 2025 forum, held at the Riyadh Front Exhibition and Conference Center from November 5 to 8 under the theme A Global Destination for Opportunities.

The memorandum aims to connect Saudi companies seeking international expansion with Swedish business incubators and accelerators, in addition to developing training programs for academic leaders specialized in entrepreneurship education. It also seeks to benefit from Sweden’s leading experience in applying simulation-based educational programs in entrepreneurship-related curricula.

The memorandum was signed by Monsha’at’s Vice Governor of Entrepreneurship, Saud Alsabhan, and, on behalf of the Swedish Trade and Invest Council, by the Trade Commissioner and Head of Agency in the Kingdom, Nebe Almayahi, in the presence of the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Sweden to the Kingdom, Petra Menander.

This partnership reflects Monsha’at’s keenness to benefit from global models in supporting entrepreneurship and to strengthen an educational and enabling environment that contributes to preparing generations capable of innovation and leadership, in line with Saudi Vision 2030, which aims to build a knowledge-based economy and support SMEs.

The Biban 2025 forum saw wide participation from international and local entities, with the value of agreements and deals exceeding SAR 22 billion, strengthening its position as a global platform for providing opportunities and empowering entrepreneurs from around the world.
