Monsha’at Joins Aseer Innovates Hackathon to Boost Regional Innovation

The Small and Medium Enterprises General Authority “Monsha’at” launched an initiative to strengthen the innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem in the Kingdom’s regions, during its participation in the Aseer Innovates hackathon, organized by the Aseer Region Development Authority from August 14 to 16, 2025, with the aim of enabling innovators and entrepreneurs to develop applicable solutions to address the challenges of Aseer Region.
The initiative focuses on consolidating Monsha’at’s role as a government enabler supporting innovation in the regions, by providing specialized guidance and evaluation sessions that help raise the quality of the participating projects, alongside identifying innovators’ needs in a practical way, which strengthens the design of programs and services better suited to the specific nature of local sectors.
It also contributes to strengthening partnerships with supporting entities, opening prospects for expanding the organization of innovation competitions at the regional level, and connecting outstanding projects with post-competition programs, such as incubation at the Innovation Center, Monsha’at Academy programs, and the Nawafth app, supporting the sustainability of impact and turning innovative solutions into scalable projects.
This step reflects Monsha’at’s ongoing efforts to raise the readiness of SMEs, strengthen their competitiveness, and establish an innovative environment that supports growth across the Kingdom’s regions.
