Monsha'at Organizes Entertainment Community Event in Riyadh

The Small and Medium Enterprises General Authority (Monsha'at), in partnership with the General Entertainment Authority (GEA), organized the "Entertainment Community" event at the SMEs Support Center in Riyadh to review opportunities, financing solutions, and regulatory frameworks within the entertainment and events sector.

Held under the "SMEs Support Communities" initiative, the event gathered small and medium-sized enterprises and entrepreneurs in event management and experience design, alongside officials from the Saudi Conventions and Exhibitions General Authority (SCEGA), the SME Bank, and private sector representatives.

Panel discussions covered market readiness, support programs, growth and financing avenues for event companies, health and safety standards, the role of technology and e-payment solutions, talent acquisition, team building, and cash flow management.

Bader Alkadi, General Manager of Events at Monsha'at, emphasized during a session titled "Growth and Financing of Event Sector Companies" the importance of preparing comprehensive operational plans and technical proposals to compete for projects. Meanwhile, Rayan Alhumaid, Executive Director of Business Development at the SME Bank, outlined available financing solutions and guarantees to cover operational costs and bridge liquidity gaps.

The discussions also addressed compliance with health and safety standards. Taher Hakami, Riyadh Business Events Manager at the Saudi Conventions and Exhibitions General Authority, stressed the necessity of submitting licensing applications at least seven days prior to events and enforcing crowd management requirements.
In the "Under the Microscope: Event Company Challenges and Entrepreneurial Experiences" session, Thamer Alasseri, Sector Support Senior Manager at the General Entertainment Authority, detailed strategies to counter demand seasonality and market competition through strategic partnerships, revenue diversification, and digital integration. A separate session on "Technology in Event Management" explored the role of digital solutions in boosting operational efficiency and visitor experience.

The event aims to foster networking and knowledge exchange between enterprises and ecosystem enablers, driving sector growth and expanding its economic contribution in line with Saudi Vision 2030 objectives.
